- UWS ENTERTAINMENT Representative Miyazawa Masanori (GA☆KYO) establishes UNDER WATER SPACE—a fish tank layout production and maintenance business— as a sole proprietorship in Edogawa City (Tokyo), the birthplace of goldfish.

At the Japan Ornamental Fish Fair Fish Tank Display Contest, GA☆KYO’s work WABISABI wins three awards: Overall Winner, Japan Ornamental Fish Association President’s Award, and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award
GA☆KYO becomes Japan’s top fish tank display creator. After appearing as a regular on CS TV ASAHI’s Suiso no Rakuen (“Fish Tank Paradise”), he creates layouts for specialist magazines such as Tanoshii Nettaigyo (“Fun Tropical Fish”) and Interior Aquarium.
